Thailand's government announced that a software audit will begin on businesses starting April 23, 2008. Companies with pirated software risk large fines and penalties.

Please be aware that Infostar Business Solutions has been informed by the Thailand Department of Intellectual Property that they will begin enforcing the National Software IP Campaign beginning on April 23, 2008.
  
     
 
 
Random software audits will be conducted on over 30,000 companies registered in Thailand in order to comply with all licensing and copyright laws previously not enforced. Fines of up to 800,000 thb and/or imprisonment will be levied against companies currently running pirated software.
